Building Within
Resilience
... a nation is only as strong as the individuals and communities that make it up.
At the Tufenkian Foundation, we believe that a nation is only as strong as the individuals and communities that make it up.
Building lasting resilience — the kind that withstands hardship, adapts to change, and empowers people to shape their own futures — is at the heart of everything we do, and it is the surest foundation for Armenia’s long-term success.
Resettlement and development qare central tenants of our social-protection and resilience-building mission. Investing in sustainable livelihoods, and strengthening the infrastructural and economic fabric of rural communities, helps families find stable footing, allowing us to address resilience at both the individual and collective levels.
Our work extends through a network of dedicated partner organizations, each addressing a distinct but interconnected dimension of social and environmental protection across Armenian society.
Our beneficiary organization, the Family and Community NGO, operates centers across Armenia, supporting the country’s most vulnerable children and young people. In these centers, young people find the tools, support, and encouragement they need to overcome adversity and build meaningful lives.
We also stand alongside the Women’s Support Center (WSC), an organization at the forefront of preventing and responding to domestic violence in Armenia. The WSC is dedicated to protecting, rehabilitating and empowering survivors, and is a key driver of deeper systemic change in Armenia.
We also support the Mining Legislation Reform Institute (MLRI), an NGO championing responsible mining practices and legislative reform.
Resilience means we step forward together.
