More Than 45 Resettlement Projects Across Artsakh

Artsakh: Where Our Story of Resettlement Began

For over two decades, resettlement has been at the heart of the Tufenkian Foundation's work. From 2003 until 2022, the Tufenkian Foundation implemented more than 45 resettlement projects in different parts of Artsakh — supporting the development of entire neighborhoods, with a particular focus on the Kashatagh region, complete with the essential infrastructure and amenities that turn a house into a home.

Building Sustainable Livelihoods

This work spanned domestic construction and renovation alongside broader community development efforts. We were especially engaged in building sustainable rural livelihoods: developing agricultural opportunities, constructing and maintaining greenhouses, establishing animal husbandry facilities, and creating other income-generating pathways for families rebuilding their lives.

Supporting the Wounded

Among these efforts, the Foundation renovated homes and apartments for wounded soldiers, benefiting many people across the region.
